وذات القلب الذهبى وهى تعى معضلات اللحظة الراهنة وتعاين تعالى صيحات حقوق المرأة وخطاب الحرية والليبرالية تفتش فى أوراقها وحول قراءاتها عسى تقتات دعما يروى ذاك الظمأ الرومانتيكى لرؤيتها للعالم والوجود.وإذ تعاين بعض مظاهر غريبة قد جدت على الساحة مثل طقوس ومظاهر التدين الشكلى من حجاب ونقاب ودعوات عودة المرأة إلى المنزل تحت يافطة المملكة الخاصة والملكة المتوجة على عرش الأسرة .تعاين كل ذلك وغيره من خطاب دينى طائفى ومذهبى قد يعتمده بعض النفر ممن ينتسبون إلى تيار دينى أو جماعة دينية اسلامية أو غيرها ….
لكن هل تسعفها أوراقها وهى موكولة الطرف بما هو إنسانى يخص الانسانية جمعاء؟

I am a Libyan international student from Italy enrolled in the Arabic Language Institute at the American University in Cairo. I have graduate din Communication Studies in Canada last June and I am mastering my skills and knowledge in Arabic and Arabic culture/media landscape. I aspire to become an international correspondent for a multinational media outlet.

I am Arabic by origin, Italian by birth, and North American by education. We were discussing in an Egyptian colloquial class female Arabic voices regarding gender roles in Egypt and other regional countries, and we’ve come across your book Daria and though we have not yet read it, we discussed its overview to learn new words and expressions in the rich Egyptian colloquial, but other than learnign new words, all of us students actually were left with big questions in our head.

As soon as got home, I Googled your name and I came across some of your works and interviews and was struck by your innovative and foundational ideas on women in Egypt. I am Interning for Masry ElYoum and The Daily News Egypt (that is bundled with The International herald Tribune), I would like to know if you would be interested in holding an interview with me, that would shed light on your work, as well as your personal reflections on identity/autonomy issues, feminism, but also gender roles in global societies as a whole.

Should you be willing, I can either easily send you my questions by email and await your response, or interview in person at your own convenience.
